The Beginning

Hi All,

As most of you know, I have a little Foodstagram account that has been updating you all on the many yummy culinary delights that Hong Kong has to offer.

I've been lucky to sample some very yummy places and I'm trying to be as healthy as possible along the way (although, that is sometimes a little hard when you're bang smack in the middle of a foodie hub).

To kick-start my blog, I'm going to start with a Breakfast diary. Over the next few weeks I'm going to sample as many hidden breakfast spots across Hong Kong (I'm dying to find some where that does Corn Fritters) and give you my honest feedback.

If you have any places in mind, let me know! In the meantime, one of my favourite places at the moment is Prune.

Prune - Organic Deli & Workshop is a teeny tiny cafe, tucked in the corner of Fuk Sau Lane in Sai Ying Pun. Luckily enough I live around the corner from it, so I'm there most days. Essentially it's a little vegetarian cafe that sources local food products and has a great range of vegan and gluten free options. Why I love it so much? Simple. They do an INCREDIBLE Acai bowl. I was lucky enough to travel to Brazil a few years ago and it's basically ALL I ate. I've seriously struggled to find anything close to the local Brazillian treat and I've finally found it at Prune.

It's served nice and cold, sprinkled with berries and bananas and the best part about it all it's finished off with an incredible granola (which includes buckwheat and poppy seeds).

Don't expect quick service here. It's all made there and then and if it's a little busy you may have to wait, but it's worth it.

Happy Sunday! xx
